Strand Lodge
Our Worshipful Master welcomes you to our website.
Here we hope to keep our members and visitors up to date with our masonic and social activities. We also hope that it will give non-members an opportunity to see what we are doing in the local community, and provide them with further information should they wish to join our fraternity.
Please look at our News and Events pages for the very latest information on Strand Lodge. If you wish to contact us for any reason please use our contact form.

AN INTRODUCTION
Learn more about Freemasonry
Freemasonry is one of the oldest social and charitable organisations in the world, built on integrity, friendship, respect and service. This section will explain in plain terms what happens at a meeting, what membership asks of you, and what it offers in return.
CHARITY
Giving has been part of us since 1883
At our consecration the Worshipful Master’s list raised one hundred guineas, an unheard of sum for a new lodge. We have not stopped since.
Every year the Lodge does its share. Members take part in the Metropolitan and Middlesex Stewards’ Sponsored Walk, twenty miles finishing on the steps of Freemasons’ Hall, and we support the appeals of other London lodges when they ask. In the 2023 to 2024 appeal for London’s Air Ambulance, Strand reached Bronze.
The Lodge is a Patron of the Royal Masonic Trust for Boys and Girls.
£130 million
Given by London Freemasons to London charities over the past forty years
£3 million
Pledged by London Freemasons to London’s Air Ambulance to replace its helicopters, the largest single donation to the appeal
£19.5 million
Distributed in one year by the Masonic Charitable Foundation, to 451 charities and to Freemasons and their families in need
